General details:A long way away for most, situated right at the western end of the Gower. And for windsurfing, probably not worth the effort unless you're local: At low tide, the sea's a very long way away; at HW, it's a bit sheltered from SW wind, it gets very rough & there's a very strong current. You have to lug your kit over the dunes, too! Rolling swells (easy slow waves). It can get very rough here, especially in strong W winds. Anon contributor (Aug 2006): Directions to the right place:How the winds work:SW - when the tide's fairly low, otherwise can be a bit sheltered W - NW - pretty onshore. N - NE - should be very good. Tidal conditions:HW springs occur between 07:00 & 08:00 (19:00-20:00). HW neaps between 12:00-15:00. Large tidal range - up to 10m. Sea goes out a long way. Hazards:Strong currents. Rough seas with strong currents! W winds Facilities:Parking is in the caravan park. Shop & Toilets during summer months. B&B's / campsitesParking area is in a caravan park! Pubs and eateries
