Done deal on a Zesty. Was tempted to build another but I can get more for my money if I buy off the shelf. Suspect there will be some early swaps (e.g bars/saddle).

(another) new bike?

Orange 5 stolen from Center Parcs a couple of weeks ago (':(')

Bummer but I do have a cheque from the nice insurance lady for £2K so on the lookout for a new ride. Any suggestions?

Test rode a Lapierre Zesty 314 yesterday which made me smile (':D').

Events calandar for 2010

can someone let me know what the Events Calandar looks like for 2010?

The website only sems to have 2009? One of my friends is keen to start learning and it makes sense to try and align trips with Nomads away days.

Ta,
Carl

Just to add to Nigel's comments. Nice day and good route only spoiled by the almost infinite variety of mud on the course. My Bontrager Mud-X tyres seemed to cope pretty well. Unfortunately my gears did not. Specifically, I seemed to be getting the equivalent of chainsuck in the granny ring on steep...

Nice to get out on Sunday. I had been thinking Axbridge to play with Windy World's new toy's but in the end the call of Portland was too strong. I was keen to get to grips with the Mistral Flow v95 I recently bought off Ebay (practically new despite being 7 years old). I rigged a 4.8 sailworks revo,...

I'm registered.

I was hoping some of my team from IPL would be coming but they've mostly shot through.

Down to Portland on Sat 16th. First sail on the new (to me) Syncro 91. Bit gusty but not to bad (just a touch too much of Southerly). Otherwise classic Portland conditions. Pretty happy on a 5.4 but did notice I was slogging a bit in the lulls. Either I'm rusty or the Syncro is slow when not well po...

First sail of the year at Dale on Saturday 25th. South easterly so blowing up the bay from Milford Haven. Apparently gusting well in excess of 40 Kts and a fair amount of beach break (in Dale!). Unfortunatly the smallest sail I had was a 4.8 and, combined with lack of sailing and the wrong fin, mean...

Portland - Sunday 19th October

Had to pick up a door in Weymouth today so took the board with me. Pleasantly surprised to find a solid F4 SW. Had a pretty good couple of hours. Only my 2nd sail this year. That is all...

Hmmm. Currently in Nice on holiday and looking at the weather forecast for the last few days and the coming weekend it's looking pretty wet! So it seems increasingly unlikely that the family will want to come camping and if the trails are going to be wet I'm less keen myself. Spending the best part ...

I might be up for a liesurely ride around CwmCarn. Especially is the start is earlyish (e.g. 10.00). I was up there last weekend and got a bit cocky with the ladder drops. Having taken the middle one several times I went off a bit too nonchalantly (with a group watching of course). End result was th...
