Re: New to Cardiff Windsurfing

This forum is pretty much replaced by the nomads facebook group. But the guys at Barry BWA website/facebook would be able to give you more info on Cardiff. At one time you needed pass a test to be allowed to sail in the harbour.

Re: Cheap Tushingham Storm 5.7 and 6M

Well the old 5.7M storm has gone to a good home, Phil has it as cover while he gets his shinny new 5.7 repaired after using it as a trampoline last week at Weston :???: The Storm was certainly a bit tatty, and has a few stickers over the some areas (just like Justin's finest :) ) but it still works ...

Re: WSM Fri 1 July

Must admit it was a long way for an easy session Mike. With the wind up and down I felt like I needed 3 or 4 different sails, then the waves were more confused than normal. Good to get on the water, but not a great session for me. Think the after work folks got the best of it as the sun came out and...

WSM to Brean 18Jun

Oh well that was interesting. Got to WSM just after the Red Arrows, one had be flying down the approach road as I was going the other way. The Beach front Jammed, and entrance to parking grid-locked by those going in blocked by those leaving. The gateman took my windsurfing pound, J&L already th...

Speed Challange

I'd not see anything on the Speed challenge this year so I thought we might as well have a thread on it. Not that I am expecting anything of it other than to start the ball rolling I managed 20.2mph on my small Rocket115 and trusty Storm 6.5 at the Matt inspired WSM session yesterday with J&L. N...

Re: WSM Tuesday 14th June

I was half thinking about heading to the south coast where it looks like it might be more reliable/usable. But if you're heading WSM what time are you planning to be there? about noon? Not sure I fancy the long walk back again.

Re: Security Risk??

Cheers Martin, that should make it less frustrating to look at the site on the phone/wifi, which I'd given up on. I'm not too impressed with Mcafee, I only use it as its free at the moment.

Re: Bristol Repairs

If its an old board and cosmetic is not a priority then do it yourself. Swimming Woggles/sausages make a good DIY nose protector. Worked well on my old Techno when I was learning. It never worth an expensive board when your learning.

Has the Website changed slightly?

Has there been a change to the Website format? We know seem to have a quick links drop down rather than direct buttons for the likes of unread posts which is the main thing I use.

Re: Wetsuits?

I quite like my O'Shea Stealth that I got about 18 months back, although I do wish that front entry zip was a couple inches longer. I got it on a trip to Boardwise, and having struggled into it, feeling quite snug (constricted), and rapidly over heating, the guy in the shop tried to suggest it was a...
