Newton Sat 28th

To my surprise and others who turned up later - Newton on Sat delivered F5 comfortable E winds. I thought Friday night that predicted E winds 10mph might be accelerated by the landmass of Porthcawl to the west as day heats the land up. It seemed to do the trick. 10am on water comfortable with 7.4m. ...

Enjoy Hols

Lrd and Ldy T - Enjoy your hols - hopefully the sun will soon cure your cold quicker than any potions. Have a great time and see you on somewhat colder and more turbid waters on your return. Short notice on Sat - I thought there might be a keen sea breeze at Newton in an Easterly and was prov...

Hibernation over yet?

Lord timid - is your period of hibernation over yet? I didn't have one this year - Nov-March twice or more a month excellent. Pay back had to happen sooner or later - no wind for a week now and DIY up to my eyes. Still better that way than Wind and DIY upto my eyes. Its not looking good for the week...

Weekend just gone

Hi Al my sympathies - moving house, packing, windy weekend, no windsurfing and England losing in the Rugby. Sounds like you have cause/excuse for a windsurfing fix soon. ':) Me - I have used up my credits - but always a chance I can sneak out. Nxt NW if you fancy it - Aberavon it is?! Otherwise Knap...

windy weekend 17/18th March

Come on you guys - surely you made the effort for a sail over the weekend. Anything better than the rugby especially when England lose to Wales. This coming from a welsh valley boy and all.... if not - check out winsurfing.co.uk - forums - latest sail some nice pics of us on Sat. Nothing for Sun yet...

SUnday 3rd March

Yep looks like a wild one....

low tides around 12 and S winds.

Not sure where to head to.

Knapp or Newton are fav at moment - but would like to follow the crowd - don't fancy a one up session in this stuff tomorrow.

Le Morne Mauritious

Well my wife and I have now returned from Le Morne Mauritius. Paradise, lovely beach, weather, hotel, wind and water. We stayed in Berjaya Hotel which is down wind from Club Mistral and the more expensive but apparently not as well fitted out/generous Indian Ocean Hotel which Sportif Holidays packag...

Windy Saturday

It appears Saturday was a good day for most. I ventured to Aberavon on Saturday on the water by 12 noon. Was greeted with SE F5/6 cross shore and some nice waves (3/4 ft on the face) nice ramps and swell rolling in. No dry gybes but v.good fun. 5.8 Boxer and 90 synchro used to good effect for 3 hrs ...

Winds and Waves on Gower

Looks if everyone had a very good weekend. Reporting from the west, I can say the Gower went off on Sat and Sunday. Sun 5.8m 3-4 ft clean waves at Port Eynon/Horton. A bit gusty due to w wind hitting headland but down wind towards Horton nice consistent wind, clean water and slack currents. 10-12 pe...

Windy Aberavon Beach

After the first Nomad outing to Aberavon I decided a return was required given favorable NW winds on Monday. Only myself and two others (who came all the way from Hayling Island) out. Nice solid F5 NW but dropping all the time. Still managed to get new toys wet :) Synchro 90 nice little board and bo...

Newgale / Weekend

All weekend looks v.iffy. :(

So will see what the weather brings. Probably do a local beach to avoid frustration of traffic jams - particularly getting to/from west wales.

Still next week, wednesday onwards looks very promising.
