Next Year's Events

Ok chaps its getting to the time when we choose sailing venues and, some would say more importantly, pubs for next year's program of events.

Does anyone have any requests?

Drop a line to any of the committee, or post a reply, if you do.

Re: apologies

Will try to get fit over the next few weeks and hopefully join you then As a confirmed unfit person, who is always totally depressed by anyone who can still talk whilst cycling uphill ("talk" meaning more than one word answers! I can do one word answers provided that a grunt counts for "yes", "no",...

Steve and I will be there for 10:30. Will bring an adequate supply of GPS' just to be absolutely certain that we can confirm the level of our lostness. Both boys used to go a shade of pink when cycling, but they have left home now, so can't bring one of those, sorry. My father was a doctor - does th...

Re: Windy Weekend

This meant heading to my fastest to reach beach which is Hill Head. Steve and I were in Southampton on Friday night and Saturday for the wedding of one of Steve's old school friends. The married couple live within walking distance of Hill Head beach, so we went to take a look. On Saturday there wer...

Six of us made it up to Cannock Chase and it was well worth the trip. We had two great rides :D :D - tho I have to admit I was a little surprised when we did a longer ride in the afternoon  (7.7 miles to "follow the dog" in the morning and 14.7 to "follow Adrian" in the afternoon). Maybe it w...

Not sure what is appropriate - evidently the sacrifice of flying to Houston on Sunday isn't :( :( . Perhaps I can bring the remnants of a hurricane back with me for our trip to Christchurch/Mudeford in two weeks time.

We would like to add our thanks to Ian and Neroli for their hospitality. 8) 8) .

Rowberrow in the dry .... fantastic, even with the new pedals, still haven't decided about them yet. Steve only slept for an hour when we got home, but was asleep less than 5 minutes after we got back.

Worked exceptionally well last year :D - did a full on 4 hour epic round the Mendips as I recall.

Though I probably killed too many brain cells the night before to trust my rather rose tinted memory of the ride  .

Well the day started badly, when the car wouldn't start and needed an hour on the charger before we could even set off :( . When we finally arrived, we decided that the beachfront was a little too challenging  and went around to the duck pond, hoping that there would be enough water to sail. ...

Interesting.... Seem to be a lot of tyre tracks on the ground beneath...wonder why? Steve and I saw something like this in the Coed-y-Brenin car park last weekend - but a lot shorter. It wasn't until we saw some children playing tunes on it that we realised it was nothing to do with MTBing  :o...

Coed-y-Brenin

Well, after an excellent start to our 4 day weekend on Lansdown yesterday, the rest of the weekend started to look a little shakey - complete lack of wind for Lepe on Sunday and Rob and Vicky wussing out of CymCarn downhill on Monday (something about being tired after a poodle round Exmoor on Sunday...

Rowberrow then Social at the Swan

Steve and I plan to do a quick spin around Rowberrow this evening before the club social at the Swan. May be a shade damper than last weekend. We plan to get there around 18:30 - all welcome. Post here or text Steve (number on the newsletter) if you are coming - my phone keeps sulking and switching ...
