Martin and I also paid a visit to the FoD, but at a more leisurely pace than Rob and Vicki. :D We arrived at about mid day to find warm dry conditions. We pottered around the downhill course until the Enduro race started to wind down. We even spotted Rob on his final lap, although he was clearly at ...

Axel, Neroli, Ian, Al and I pottered our way around Goblin's Combe and other locations. See attached map in Fugawi and GPX formats. These were all new trails for me. There were three incidents of note: Firstly, thanks to Al for going home to collect a skewer for the front wheel , after I discovered ...

If there is an option, I would prefer to ride on Sunday. The Avonmouth bridge is a nightmare on Saturday mornings, now there are roadworks.

Rowberrow?

Welcome back Al. Good to hear there is still life after kids

Hi Vicky

Glad the apples were of use. We have plenty more where these came from.

I remember completing the Spam Challenge with you and Paul a couple of years ago. Having seen Rob compete in the Cheddar Challenge, I am thinking about a shorter, more liesurely ride.

Unfortunately I could not find anyone to join me at the back, so Sunday’s ride was a tale of the hare and the tortoise. Unfortunately the hare was very competitive and had not read the script, so the tortoise came in second. However, the tortoise did make it around both Whites and the Wall, even tho...

Hope your training session is a success. Are you taking any floaty toys?

If your timing is right, swine flu might have gone before you return

Sunday 13th

Geoff (from Cornwall) and I were thinking of doing the Wall and Whytes combo on Sunday. 10.30 'ish start from Glyncorrwg if anyone would like to join us.

Anyone who might be slower than me on the climbs would be especially welcome.

Myself, Paul, Adrian, Rob, Vicki et al made it to and around Bracknell. It was a very hot dry day. Although I have only been there once before when it was dry, I am told the conditions were exceptionally good. Goodness only knows how Rob remembers his way around the place, however the route he put t...

Martin and I made a couple of misjudgments. The first was not having checked the Severn Bridge was open. It wasn't, so there was a bit of a detour getting to Wentwood. The other, was to assume that if it is dry here then it would be at Wentwood. Big mistake as Wentwood is best avoided in the wet. Ma...

Thanks Hugh, but Brechfa is too far for a day out. However, Martin and I hope to find somewhere closer to home.
