Where are all the Bristol rugby fans in the picture of the Welly?? It doesn't seem right without loads of blue and white shirts spread round. Its the only time I get to go in.

Cyrano did ask about missing relations after his enforced absence due to injury.

He tends to agree that is crue to lock Technos away for the winter, unless of course they are bright shiny new small ones.

Well the new look Cyrano de Concorde Techno with its bulging nose bumper was safely relaunched yesterday and its still goes well. Even took one small hit on the nose with no problem. IT ain't pretty, but I still like it. Biggest problem was pilot's lack of confidence given its a month since last sai...

Evo-stick seems to have worked a treat, even if I ended up concentrated so much on one side of the bumper that the other stuck its self. Much closer to the edge of the deck, so the edge lifter due to the shape, hence it a little less symmetrical, but all seems OK.

I had been using my sailing Mitts as a compromise for a few sessions. It was partly successful, in that it was better than nothing, but for me, cold wet fingers is not good. So I finally tried Marigold for the first time yesterday, my Mrs was not best pleased!! Initially I had my normal mitts on ove...

Rename

Martin, any chance you can rename this forum Bike Trips of something? I normally use the post since last visit search to check for new stuff. It only shows the article and the lowest level forum, and we have two "Trips". Every time I see new posting under trips I get all interested only to find out ...

It could be worth taking a trip to Bris Windy World or other shops. I was in at the end of Nov., and came a way with a 4.7 NP NR for £50ish, which is competitive with eBay for a newish sail, especially if you add postage and then the hassle factor. This was about a 2002/3 but had seen some wear, but...

Far more worrying is that Bristol got stuffed down at Exeter and could be screwing up their return to the big time. It took me a good gallon of Otter and Tribute to get over that one, in comparison Robbo's boys losing was just an inconvenience.

Glue suggestions

OK so now I want to stick my foam nose bumper, other wise known as half a pool noddle/woggle, to the nose of my techno. Doc. Crash in Boards recommends a contact adhesive, which is not very specific. In the pitcture he uses something out of a tin but I can not make out the label. Any suggestion? Ide...

Many thanks, that helps a lot. I won't try to put a standard Tutle in my BicT2 then.

Is it just fashion, or was there a real reason why Bic have moved a way from the trimbox. Seem so much quicker to fit that the deep tuttle.

Worst Board I've used was a HiFly 363, it was a bit like standing on a very long barrel. Best board is more difficult, I hope its too be my new Bic Techno2 small, but as its still in the living room its yet to get near the water. The screamer 3 128 I used in Bitez has to be pretty close, although I'...

Questions on Fins

My new board has a 40 cm. Deep Tuttle Box. Must admit on first fitting I actually found the trimbox on my old Techno quicker and easier to use, and more flexible. But I know Trimbox is seen as old and out of favour now. Any care to enlighten me on the pros and cons of fin development. I've seen the ...

If you want to try a beer that has changed as its become a national beer, try Greene King Abbot Ale. I was brought up on this stuff living on the Cambs/Suffolk boarder. About 25 years ago Abbot used to be a really strong bitter with a lot of bit to it, now it sales nationally is more like a Scottish...

The 6X from the Crown at the top of the A46 near M4 Junc18 is an excellent example of a normally disappointing beer. Come on Ian, 6X is a great pint, its not Waddy's fault that you live outside. The trouble is it is difficult to keep (even within the boundary), doesn't travel well, for a fairly lig...
