Weston on the August bank holiday weekend?

Are you mad?

Really I am just envious that you had a good session :)

Last Friday was exactly the sort of day I would have taken off work to go to Weston, but it was also one of the very rare days that I wasn't able to take off!

Still, glad you had a good one :)

Hello Matt,

I saw the other thread, belatedly. Knap was actually quite gusty and I probably would've had a very mixed time on the 7.1 anyway if I had got it rigged. Water was mostly flat which would explain the lack of any BWA attendance.

See you on the water some time

I went but the jinx of the Knap struck again. Must've been there six or seven times now and still no decent session! This time the wind was ok for me to use my 7.1, but I couldn't get the damn thing rigged. Some problem at the head of the sail, the mast going the wrong way inside a fold of sailcloth...

It was good to see everyone and get out again. I thought it was rather mild what with about 8 degrees air temp and water that still remembers the summer sun. Certainly less painful than the cold water rinsing I received at Aberavon last spring (the only time my trusty red Musto beany has failed to k...

Not bad Ian, 31kts on a wave board? :)

Or was it a secret weapon slalom board custom painted with wave board graphics?

I was also out at W_S_M on Sunday. Had a pretty good session, using a 6m on the Syncro wind was variable but very nice indeed at times, combined with nicely sized waves at not too bad a direction and even intermittent sunshine. Had one memorable run out where I was nicely powered, the kit felt light...

Eh? :) Got rid of the visiting relatives, dodged the building site/garden and made it to the sunny side despite huge headwind and usual traffic. Rigged my old 5.2 which turned out to be too big even with all the guts hauled out of it but still pretty light in the hands considering. Should've gone 4....

Would have made the trip with GF as she now has a big board to progress on.

But sadly we are busy this weekend.
