Severn barrage and tidal power generation

Last night I had a conversation with a former colleague who was interested in my views, as a windsurfer, on the impact a proposed Severn barrage would have. The idea of a Severn barrage is not a new one. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Severn_Barrage The favored location for the barrage seems to b...

Looks like Wednesday was the day to bunk off work, you lucky, lucky people.
I spent the day watching the office car park trees doing the wind jig in the sun.
Bah! :(

Currently stuck in a world of DIY. We moved house last month and there are many many things to do before I can go windsurfing again.

On the plus side, we now have a garage! :) :D 8)

Motor vehicles are already banned from using off-road rights of way. In fact, they are also banned from using some roads, since early 2004 I believe. These people seem to have confused a byway - which motor vehicles have the right to use - with cycle ways, footpaths, bridleways, RUPPs etc etc etc.

Ok thanks. Yep I used several computers and often log in automatically. Will try to cut down on this!

Went to Newton yesterday and got skunked. Is it me or the weather forecast that was wrong?

Problem loggin in with Firefox?

Hi, I seem to have some trouble posting to forums when using the Firefox browser (I am using IE6 to post this - eugh). When I get to the login screen and enter the fields and click the login button, it just keeps reloading the same page. I am using this version: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5...

Yes, not a bad outing at W-S-M. I had planned on going to Aberavon but found the M4 blocked with football traffic (will they ever finish the Wembley stadium?). It was a bit too onshore and there were a lot of kites going bacwards and forwards in one foot of water, right by the shore. But once past t...
