Hi Matt
Doh - just realised you posted that yesterday (Thursday) meaning you are going up there today! Wind doesn't look v good for today - or have you seen something to suggest otherwise?

Am hoping to get out somewhere too - either Axbridge, or Weston, or both.!
At one stage it looked as though there may be some wind for WSM today - but not looking so great this morning now :(

Hello Had a good day at Newton yesterday with Martin, Tony (Nomad) and Tony (non Nomad). I wimped out and was on a 4.7 and my 85 litre as the wind had kicked in a notch whilst I was rigging, but then dropped back by the time I had got my ar*e into gear!. I was slightly underpowered and had to work i...

Am torn between Newton and Portland (want to do both!), but had loosely arranged to meet a friend at Newton whom I know from Dahab hols, so Newton it is now.
Will look out for Martin and for any other Nomads.

Chris, Gerry and Neil - hope you have a good day too.

Hello all Yes, think WSM is a no-goer unfortunately this weekend. Tomorrow if the wind picks up I'll pop up to Axbridge. It's looking marginal at the moment though. Am still undecided re Sunday over Newton (it looks like there may be rain in Wales, which would put me off - I'm sure Kelvin will say t...

This weekend - 3/4 July

Hello .. anybody ? (again!)

This weekend is looking promising - particularly Sunday.

What plans does anyone have? Richard is looking at Roadford; I'd probably prefer Portland, although Newton (despite the lack of loos!) may be an option, too.

Looking forward to LOTS of postings on this one .

Hi Richard
This weekend is taking shape - especially Sunday :D
Think I'd rather be at the coast, if possible, though. May put another posting up and see what others are up to.
Have fun

Typical ...

It's a windy, sunny afternoon and the tide is out at WSM! Bristol is a c@*p location for a windsurfer

Hi Matt Yes, went to WSM on Sunday to actually get away from the footie in the end ...  There wasn't quite enough wind. I had not taken my big kit, so was under powered on a 5.5 and 85l, but had fun just playing around in the shallows on it ( I daren't go out far as it was too light to ...

Hi Ian
It was a westerly.

I was also there yesterday evening and it must have been about 15mph W, yet the Nomad's wind machine said Easterly and about 3 knts.

Hi Matt
Nice to know I'm not talking only to myself . Currently 13mph in Weston, so it should pick up some more. Decision time - footie, windsurf, footie, windsurf .... ahh, I hate being indecisive !!
Hope you had a great time in Turkey and scored better winds than in Dahab.

Hello ... anyone ??
BBC website is showing 14mph this afternoon/ evening. So with the magic WSM local factor there could be more. Anyone else clutching at straws and thinking there may be a chance of a sail later today ???
