Re: this week

We had the blue skies, but very marginal winds. I had two good runs planing all the way on my Kombat97/6.5 but other than that it was mainly wobbling between waves and standing on the shore waiting for the wind. The forecast wind after high tide never happened with the exception of a downpour squall...

Re: this week

OK, packed the car, will sort out something to eat then head off, although I think Ian made the right choice.

Re: this week

I'm going to give WSM a go but it looks like we may end up waiting for the falling tide when the wind is due to pick up.

this week

It looks like there there should be some wind this week. Tues/Weds look promising or a bit damp, any one got any plans? I was thinking of a trip one day (Hamworthy probably) and WSM the other, but interested if anyone else going anywhere.

Re: Roadford lake Friday......

WSM even more frustrating today. The forecast looks good, right up to the time when the water arrives and wind drops

Re: Roadford lake Friday......

WSM forecast looks a bit marginal for me to make the trek on a Friday evening Bob, HT:19:49 with the wind dropping as the water arrives. But might be OK at 16mph on Bigger kit for a couple of hours after the rain, but I'd like another couple of mph to make it worth the hour's drive. But then I've mi...

Re: Llangdegfedd Sunday......

Sorry Richard, I'd written it off earlier in the week so not looked for a while, although it looks like the 9.4/iSonic might have worked today after all.

Re: Tuesday 4th Aug

I spent about 4 hours on the water at Hamworthy in batches with splenty of recovery time, as predicted more than enough water there all day. I started on Rocket125/6.5M but that was soon too much so went down to the Kombat97 with 5.3, could have gone smaller at times. Very stiff this morning though.

Re: Tuesday 4th Aug

I'm off to Hamworthy in the morning if the current forecast holds. There should be plenty of water from mid morning onwards.

Re: WSM Tues 28/7

As posted on facebook last night: Great session at Weston this afternoon with my little Kombat 85 getting it's second outing with a 4.7 for couple of hours of reasonably controlled sailing/jumping in Weston's finest wind/sun/lumpy combo. Kit was just right after a phaffing session to decide. Good No...

Re: WSM - Saturday 25 July

Sounds like you had better wind than at Portsmouth on Saturday. It was a bit on the light side and gusty, I heard it was 10-15 mph. The boats often struggled to get on the foils and I'm not sure I would have bother rigging my kit for those conditions, although it was quite warm and sunning. Sunday w...

Re: AC World Series Portsmouth 23-26th.July

We're back from an interesting weekend at the America's Cup World Series Portsmouth, the TV highlights give a much different impressions to those at the site. I'm glad we went but it was a very mixed experience. Well done Ben and BAR Team, although it wasn't the easiest way to win it with Ben's desi...
