Portland - Saturday 15th June
I arrived just after 9am, Bob arrived with trelek2 (sorry not going to try to spell your real name) around 10 ish. Did not look as windy as forecast so rigged a 5.8m, fine for a couple of hours but the wind was steadily getting stronger. Bob and I both came in and rigged smaller sails Bob a 5.5m and...

Re: Saturday 14th.
Adrian I think Matt is away in Brussels visiting his son. Have a good day at Weston on the darkside. Richard If you want to go to Portland but feel you have not got small enough kit for the windstrength, let me know and I will take some extra kit with me that you can use. Portland with a good wind f...

Good, someone willing to do their bit for care in the community to keep a watchful eye on my safety while I attempt to windsurf.
We still have to deal with the thought of LT turning up in his Speedos. It does take the edge of what could potentially be a very good day windsurfing.

I am very sorry. It started off as a bit of joke albeit not a very good one, and it has back fired on me now that LT seems to be taking it all so seriously.
PS
If anyone is going to WSM please post otherwise rather than sail on my own I will go to Portland.

I only get one day holiday a year.
I have total faith in you and trust your judgement for Thursday and so have booked Thursday as my annual day of leave.
Hopefully see you there. I will hopefully get there early and sail the incoming tide.

You could do far worse than this F2 Phoenix 320 on E-bay:

Re: Moving further down the board range
Graham As an idea I am about 12 ½ stone give or give a few pounds. I have an 82 litre wave board (F2 Wave 254) of about 2000/2001 vintage which I have used on average probably no more than a couple of times a year. You know how attached I am to my green Fanatic Bee 274, well even I have to concede t...

Re: advice for newbie
Scott My view: top tip - the RYA instructional dvd’s would be a very good investment. I found them very helpful indeed when I was learning (and still do). If you become a club member, I am not too sure but I think they hold the dvd’s for people to borrow. I do totally agree with Graham, for the begi...

Re: advice for newbie
Scott Unless you have vast sums of money I would consider one of the following: Hifly Magnum 323 Bic Veloce 328 Fanatic Snake 335 F2 Phoenix 320 They were the first of the wider and shorter style of boards (although not as wide or as short as todays beginner boards) to learn on and still okay for th...

Re: Portland Sunday 27th Jan
Justin, i have my car loaded and all ready to go.
I note however that it is a low tide most of the day.
What time are you planning on getting there.
