Re: Sat 6th June

I was a bit late yesterday so made a late change of plans and headed to Hamworthy to take the tide out of the equation. Very sunny with reasonable wind but overflowing car park. I ended up double double parking on the end of one line, to start with then moved into a space after rigging. The advice w...

Re: Sat 6th June

I had been thinking of a trip over to the knap tomorrow. Not sailed at Newton, somewhat put off by the windline and the fin catchers I could see the one time we did a bit of coastal walking around there.

Re: Beginner advice please!

I'm not expert but a keen late adopter who can just about survive at Weston in most conditions, there are far more competent windsurfer in the club. A warning, WSM is not ideal for beginners as its can get quite wavy so you really need to be comfortable waterstarting, it can often be difficult to ge...

Re: Wed 2 June

I whimped out yesterday as well, but there plenty of sun I can't convince myself to gamble on the sea breeze staying late tonight. So that should guarantee it for you. :(

Llandegfedd Sun 31st.May

I eent over to Llandegfedd to see what it was like since it reopened and met up with some old friends. Wind not as constant as forecasted so mainly gust chasing to start with but filled in a bit later in the afternoon. I was on the iSonic155 with 7.5TushyT3, and spent most of the time up towards the...

Sun 31st.May

Assuming the beach is closed at WSM I think I might try out the new facilities at Llandegfedd tomorrow as the forecast looks pretty good over there unless anyone has any other ideas..

WSM Sat.16th.th.May

Noticed that the forecasts for WSM were looking a strong, so I took my local option (only an hours driving) today for my first trip of the year to WSM. Got there about 3-45, to see Matt and a number of other locals on the beach. I rigged a 4.7M/Kombat97 which was a little over power at times with a ...

Hamworthy 5th.May

Sun, wind and the wildest sea state I've ever seen there today. The chop was so closed that a number of times I jumped from one bit to land with the nose straight into the next which lead to some interesting and painful dismounts. Major milestone on the Windsurfing front as I finally broke the 90 Li...

Re: Holiday Weekend

5.7m weather, you shoud have come to Hamworthy. I originally rigged a 6.5 but as other looked like they were struggling I changed it to a 7.5 before I got it wet, unfortunately they both really need the same mast/boom, as I planned off the beat on the 7.5/Rocket115 (first time I've tried this combo)...

Re: Holiday Weekend

Well I've packed the car with the Boards for Hamworthy which is currently looking favourite. Hopefully being a Bank Holiday Sunday the traffic won't be too bad.
