whites

Post by dro »

hugh plwm and I are intending to head to Glyncorrwg on Sunday to limp around whites.
I have explained to Hugh that it is a pleasant gentle ride suitable for geriatrics such as myself.
Not sure how he will react to reality (has been very quiet cycling wise last few months)

Anyway we intend to start the ride around 12pm aiming for cocktails at the top.
All old ,sad and unfit riders welcome to join us
All other categories should make their own arrangements !!!!

Lady T in Manchester for weekend and returning to Port talbot train sation at 4 P.M. hence the late start

Book early so as not to be disapointed

Mind you I was tired

Feeling better today and Doctor says I will be o.k. to go home next week

I think I know that feeling Huw  Due to a bit of a running injury I got the old road bike out on Saturday and did just under 30 miles for the first time in a very long time. Still not entirely comfortable sitting at work :???:

of course

Post by dro »

Yep
You did not see him cos he just could not catch you.
He told me that he recognised the bike but was surprised to see a rider on it !!!

It would be nice if you could post some pictures of the ride Matt.
I think an official pictorial record of such illustrious company should be included in the Nomads history.

Looking forward to your efforts

Although I say it myself, I feel I am to be congratulated for simultaneously riding in two different places 100 miles apart. The Castle Combe part was very slimy and muddy, but the beer was good; albeit not very cold and pale.

The pain of White's must have been so intense, my brain has completely eradicated all traces of it. As has my GPS.
It's an ill wind that never blows at all.

I am disappointed that I could not match Martin's ability to ride in 2 places at the same time :( - it does explain why he wanted an easy ride as he clearly neded to save energy for the other ride

Maybe that is what Matt was doing in the snow - his bike was on one ride while he did another one

Post by dro »

clearly too much beer Martin
You can not be in two places at the same time and you crtainly were in Afan argoed as I am sure Matt's pictures will proove.

Try the yellow tasteless stuff instead, bugger the tase but at least low on alcohol so no more of these strange hallucinations.

Missed Adrian on the ride ,shame you could not make it Adrian

According to Horizon the other day, we can be in two places at the same time as there is an infinite number of parallel universes. Or we are all living in a hologram on the edge of a black hole.

Anyway, here's one of Lance trying to catch me. It was surprisingly warm that day....

Also one of Elvis being chased by Steve. :D :D

Nice pictures good to see Elvis looking so well but no sign of Martin.

Kept telling Lance not to crouch over the bars but would he listen ??
No wonder he could not catch you

Au contrare I can see Martin he is the 8th rider behind Elvis in the scrubland that Afan has become in the parallel universe where South Wales is warm and arrid , California is a swamp , Castle Coombe with its environs is MTB Nirvana where beer glasses never run dry.

sorry Paul did not recognise him, wearing a different helmet !

Not sure about the rest .Are you sure you have not been drinking the same stuff as Martin.

I feel that you are all losing grip on reality.. SO

Feel the Timid force you know you can depend on it.

Particularly enjoyed the company on sunday. How Sue got round the course in her wet suit I do not know

Great day out, thanks Lord T. Didn't want to steam ahead and show you all up too much, so thought I had better handicap myself by wearing a wetsuit ... :D

Blimey Steve seems to have been in two places at one time also. I would not have believed it but the picture is in colour so it must be true :o

I could have sworn he was with me and 8 others on a ride from Nailsea to Axbridge on road bikes - dabbling with the dark arts!!
