Lunacy as far as I'm concerned. I hate most off road down hill, let alone along a cliff edge.

went to but Lady T an electric bike for Xmas in cycle mart near Lampeter (an experience in itself,tucked away on top of a mountain in wild wooly cardiganshire) and came across these electric mountain bikes.
quite amazing very easy to cycle I am told and great for the uphills
Now that is EASY mountainbiking

Only problem they are rather expensive

Another problem: They're very heavy. The weight also increases in proportion to the height when you have to lift the bike over a fence/gate/stile.
