Read your trip report about Ireland with interest - pity the lack of wind (same for me in May this year!)

Do you happen to have a contact email for the owners of Primrose cottage or recommend anywhere else for me, wife, 9 mth son and parents in that area?

Thanks,
Northy

Hi Northy,

Neroli booked Primrose Cottage for us last year so she'd have the details. I believe she found it in a hol. brochure, but a web search may turn something up, too. Primrose is a very large cottage, sleeping 12 (I think), so may be too big for you?

There's always Jamie Knox's place - http://www.jamieknox.com.

I also know there are a couple of B&B's practically next door to Spillane's pub in Fahamore - right up near the tip of peninsula on the E side of Brandon Bay. A couple of Nomads stayed on there last year after the rest of us left - I've emailed them to try to get them to reply.

Also take a look at http://www.irelandview.com/kerry-cloghane.php

Primrose cottage is looked after by Liam Kennelly on site (066 7139595). His mother (Jill Kennelly) owns the cottage and is based in the UK, she is probably a better bet as your fist call for bookings 01491 837690.

We found it via Shamrock Cottages http://www.shamrockcottages.co.uk.

Cheers,
Neroli and Ian.
If found, please return to the pub.

Primrose is on the main part of Dingle, south west of Castle Gregory on the main road about half a mile before you start up the Conner pass, which makes it ideal for the beaches at the south end of Brandon Bay

How far is the Primrose from

- a beach

Close enough that you can tell which way the gusts are blowing and have a good guess at sail size from the lounge window! Probably 1/4 - 1/2 a mile from.

- Jamie Knox / Spillanes

A couple of miles - 5 -10 minute drive (would be 5 on UK roads)

- Castle gregory Spa

About a mile

- the nearest pub!

Half a mile - not a particularly good road for walking on though

Cheers,
Ian.
If found, please return to the pub.
