Saturday 14th.

What Nomadic events are coming up. Also, if anyone's planning a non-Nomadically-arranged trip and/or looking for others to join in.

Saturday 14th.

Post by Bob Iles »

I can not get away for the whole weekend so am not interested in going to Pembroke for the day as it is too far. Any one interested in a day trip to Portland?

I would be up for that. I don't have a car though, so unless I can convince some friends to come I'd need a lift from the Triangle.

If you do not mind an early start I can certainly pick you up from the Triangle as I live in Cotham and would be happy for the company on the boring drive. I usually head off about 7.15am and stop for breakfast on the way.

Ok I totally don't mind the early leave, I'll just have to double check that none of my friends are coming as I've already offered to come with them yesterday. They probably won't have made up their minds by the evening, is that alright with you? Maybe let's decide on a time by when I should confirm that I'll be coming with you - whatever suits you - 8PM? 10 PM?

I assume you have space for me and my kit as well (1 board, 2 sails and all the rest that's needed)?

Trelek2,

I have space for the kit as I am a white van man. Not sure what I am up to this evening so I am not sure what time I will check the postings.

Adrian
I think Matt is away in Brussels visiting his son.
Have a good day at Weston on the darkside.

If you want to go to Portland but feel you have not got small enough kit for the windstrength, let me know and I will take some extra kit with me that you can use. Portland with a good wind forcast and tide like tomorrow - too good to miss. If you do come bring your GPS.

Adrian, Ian's right I'm here in Brussels, but thanks for thinking of it anyway.
Ian, I'm impressed you knew that, either you' ve got a good memory or fine network of spies.
Anyway, windy here too and I'm looking forward to your trip reports.
Should've been here yesterday.

I went to Hamworthy, spent a lot of the time sheltered behind the beach huts from the wind :???: , even with my smallest 4.2 it was over powered a lot of the time in the heavy chop  . At one point one of the guys was measuring the wind speed over a few minutes and got reading from 35mph up to a max. 53mph.
