Happy Holidays

Post by PhilipS »

Not long back from a Neilson holiday in Greece.

Very little wind but never the less had a great time.

One of the instructors attempted to teach me how to Heli tack and
Flare gybe, I've sort of got the general idea just need to work
on the Flare part.

We're out there from the 8th. to the 22nd. Sept. We went for the other option and booked both Lemnos and Dahab at the turn of the year, which unless you leave it very late seems to offer as good a deal as any.

Dro
Ruth and I haven't been on holiday abroad for many years.
Hence I've been like an over excited child pre and post holiday.

A foreign holiday was your suggestion.

We went with Neilson to Sivota Greece, I tried to pick somewhere
that would suit all of us, water sports for my 2 sons and
history/culture for Ruth.

There is very, very little wind, not good if you have some windsurfing
ability, so it suited me fine. Gave me a chance to practice turning the
board in constant light winds with guidance from the staff.

Apart from that:
Food, fantastic and lots of it.
Accomadation, fantastic and no Greek plumbing.
Scenery, fantastic better than the picture in the brochure.
No Guinness, but the Lager was fantastic.
In fact we loved it.

Saving my pennys for next year, now I've had a taster I'll pick
somewhere with stronger winds. Thinking about Ortakent Turkey.

Anyway thanks for suggesting the holiday.

Lots of Hugs and Kisses
Phil and Ruth

chuffed to bits that you enjoyed it

We are big fans of Ortakent (very very friendly atmosphere, great kit but as the wife says "compact and shabby shic" )!!

You will love it

Really enjoyed the hugs and kisses
