Llangdegfedd Sunday

Post by Richard »

Another pleasent session over on the sunny side, although must admit that the sun's appearance was in this case just on the occasion.

Wind was gusty and at times unpredictable, but still managed some good runs in parallel with the dam with 23 knots recorded on the GPS thingy and almost nailed a planning gybe :)

Good to see Phil & Ruth again, Phil on his 7.5 T4 went even faster than last week....

That's four good weekend session's on the trot, can't be bad......

Richard and Alison my saviours.
Very, very nearly ended up National Trusting.
Then a ray of hope from the forum, when Ruth had established
there would be someone interesting to talk to were set
for a trip to a Lake on the sunny side, phew.

First few runs were fantastic, fastest I've been yet.
Seem to be sailing more and swimming less.

Late afternoon the wind became very strange, sort of swirling,
found myself in the middle of the lake struggling to control the
sail having fallen in and pulled it up a lot. Thought I might have the
embarrassment of calling the safety boat. Eventually managed to
gain enough control to get to the bank, then just a short walk
of shame.
Cream cakes (yum) were on offer at this point so there ended that
adventure.

Yours
