Extremely pleasant day spent at Portland yesterday. Wind was a lightish SW, but those with bigger sails were planing well.
I was on a 6.5 and 105, Ian H on 7.8 and two green boards ( ... not at once ), Justin and Lorraine on 5.7s. Martin H also made the trip.
It was exceptionally pretty there yesterday - blue skies, lots of sunshine, flat blue water, and very warm. It was one of those days which made you realise how lucky you were to have discovered windsurfing .
The carpark area/ beach scene has changed since I last visited (.. it was a while ago). There is now a bustling cafe, paddle boarding was very popular, and there seemed to be more people than usual using the beach as a general beach.
The club's GPS had an airing - and a few speeds were recorded for the ladder to get it started.
Ian H, Justin and Lorraine are planning on a return visit this coming Weds, if the current forecast holds.
Tell us all about what kind of day/ weekend/holiday you had.
