Portland Sat 10th October

A really fun day sailing out of the Boatyard on an Easterly. Light wind at first picking up in the afternoon. I was surprised at how much faster I could go with the Nomads GPS strapped to my arm! Finishing with a mocha at the revamped Bill Winters café with Sue, Matt and a good group of semi-nomads. :D

Great day out on Saturday with Nomads Mike, Matt, Giles and Simon, and Adrian kiting. Plenty of the regulars around, and a few of the WSM'ers turning up too.

Started off on my 6.5 and 105, but changed down to the 5.5 and 85 for the afternoon as the wind kicked up a notch as predicted by Met Office. Lots of blasting to and fro across the bay, and a bit of a GPS competition going on.

We rounded off the day in the warm and cosy cafe, over hot drinks and banter.

A top windsurfing and sociable day 8)
