Clocks Gone Forward

Post by Viv Powell »

Hi Martin

I notice that my posts have GMT timing on them still. Is this something that I have to change, cos my PC appears to be correct, or is it the server that sets the time on each post?

Not quite.

Unfortunately, phpBB doesn't automatically adjust for daylight savings time. Each individual has to remember to do it manually - see faq.php#9 . It has to be done this way as each user may be in a different timezone, some of which may have daylight savings, some others may not.

To change the forum time for yourself, click on the "profile" link at the top of the page, scroll down to "timezone" and set it to "GMT+1" (if you're in the UK). Don't forget to scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit".
It's an ill wind that never blows at all.
