Problem loggin in with Firefox?

Post by AlistairJ »

Hi,

I seem to have some trouble posting to forums when using the Firefox browser (I am using IE6 to post this - eugh).

When I get to the login screen and enter the fields and click the login button, it just keeps reloading the same page. I am using this version:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2

Is it a problem with my browser, do you think, or the site?

Thanks,
Al

Hi Al,

I also use Firefox - pretty much exclusively.

There's no problem with the browser, but the phpBB login is a bit buggy. What sometimes happens is that you need to login twice - particularly if you have the "keep me logged-in" button checked on one computer, and then log in from another computer.

Just login again the second time, and it should log you in successfully. Let me know if it doesn't.
It's an ill wind that never blows at all.

Ok thanks. Yep I used several computers and often log in automatically. Will try to cut down on this!

Went to Newton yesterday and got skunked. Is it me or the weather forecast that was wrong?
