Weston Weather Station

Post by Viv Powell »

Just a quick note to say that the Nomads weather station in Weston-Super-Mare is now fully operational :D :D (well nearly - we have yet to sort out our rain monitor - but apart from that)

There are various links about the website that will get you to the summary page or you could try clicking here

We are still tweaking and verifying various bits but so far so good

Cheers

Looks very good, aside from the artic temperature :(

A lot better than Wendy-fire-burns

Congratulation to all those who have made it possible

Do we have any information on which directions are likely to be the most/least accurate?
Windsurfers do it standing at the bar

Sorry about that - the original sensor had the temp at up to 30 degrees (when it very obviously wasn't  ), we could swap back to that one if it makes you feel better

Anything with North in it is a bit unpredictable because of the positioning of the sensor, also if there is no wind at all the direction is all over the place - probably not too surprising!

I am planning to do some footnotes somewhere on the pages once we have found out what all the idiosyncrasies are.

Finally after living in Burnham for the past 7 years my phone might stop ringing to ask about Weston conditions. lol

Many Thanks
