Less muddy Monday 14th at WSM

Postby Matt » Mon May 14, 2012 22:45

Really good afternoon at WSM today. The forecast was spot on with the weather clearing around 2pm and the wind picking up too. I almost got the 7.3 out again but went 6.5 instead on 112L Naish and this got me up and comfortably planing straight away. The wind continued to build as the sky cleared more and the sun made it's presence felt. Plenty of nice ramps around to play on too. After a bit I changed boards to the 96L ebay Freewave and piled on some more downhaul and outhaul, It was easily windy enough for a 5.7 by then but I didn't want to waste time re-rigging before the water disappeared. Carried on really enjoying the sailing till about 4.30 when I packed up to avoid a long muddy walk again. Best session so far this year. :D :D
