WSD = wobbly seat direction (following viv around Ashton Court!) Ok...the bike has fox forks (not sure which ones yet but there's an air valve involved). Most of the bits are xt. It has 9 gears which is too much but difficult to remove if thats what you get. Its obscenely light but has no bar ends (...

Was there mud at Afan ?....Ashton Court had loads

Ok...We wanted to try out the bikes on familiar ground. Unfortunately the familiar ground was a little unfamiliar. The tracks and trails around Ashton court were extremely wet. Also there had been a lot of people enjoying themelves here before us, so the tracks were a little rutted. Viv fell off on ...

14km long, 2.5 km wide, close to the Atlantic coast west of Bordeaux the Lac du Hourtin / Carcans is a great windsurfing location. Holiday hints are, on the plus side, the wine is cheap and plentiful.(combining windsurfing with wine is not recommended!) petrol is about 2/3 the price (best price was ...

France was positively tame after reading this lot.

They have tarmac bike roads through forest on the wide runs
and concrete paths (18") on the narrow bits. Signposts and junctions at roads. Very strange.

Smashing subject cus we've all been here....some of the venues for next year have been chosen with this in mind...Croft Farm, Roadford and Axebridge are all in there. When Viv and I joined the club we went through the same confidence barriers. It does take loads of time on the water to get familiar ...

Plans for Social/This weekend 23/24 Oct

The social this week is The Plough at Congrsbury and we're going so I guess its on. The portland trip will be devoid of most of the committee as we have a prior engagement in France, however keep an eye on the forums for enthusiasts.
Cheers

This has only been beaten by the ultra-low pressure recorded at th...
