Wednesday 21st M.

Minehead's looking pretty good for tomorrow. 16-18W. HT is at 12.30pm.
So if anyone fancies skiving off work and braving the M5!
Here's my contact number: 07976142638 if anyone wants to check up before they travel down.

Cheers,

James.

Minehead has waves! Sunday 18th

Got down a bit later than I'd hoped today (about 2.00pm) and by fluke has timed it perfectly as the, and I use this in the loosest sense 'reef' was kicking in pretty well. Nothing massive, but very usable 5-6 feet ramps. The forecast said 21 mph but we were just holding on to 4m sails on the outside...

Going to try my luck at M. tomorrow. Looks like mid to high teens all day. But it looks like there will be a few storms coming in mid afternoon.

Cheers,

James.

M looks good for tomorrow. Except the tide's really early, so looking to sail at 9.00am onwards! If the windspeed's good, may sail from Porlock Weir down the coast after low tide. (tide coming in, downwind).
Anyway, could be interesting.

Cheers,

Well another great day at M.
Kidding, it was pretty marginal really, but managed to blast up and down for an hour or so with the 5.5 before it dropped and planing became a lottery.
Good to be out though. Sunny, warm and the conditions were pretty flat for a change.

Cheers,

James.

M's not looking so special now either, although with the sun we might get into the mid teens.

James.

fek the M5 next windy day i,ll meet you half way across the channel  That's a great idea, doomed to failure:-) But a great idea. I've been wanting to do the channel crossing for a while and yesterday would have been almost perfect. How long do you think it would take? My guess is 16-18 miles e...

Well another awesome day at M. Come to think of it last Monday was pretty special too. Back to today; we got down about 10.30am and rigged 5.5's and were on the water by eleven. It was a little marginal to begin with, but the forecast worked out and by low tide (around 2.00pm) it was 5m weather and ...

You people make me sick having all this fun when I am at work! Not really, glad someone's enjoying it while I slave at a desk! Sorry Rachael, If it's any consolation, my arms really ache from the last three days of sailing. I'm not sure how I will get though the next few windy days;-0 Good me...

Great to meet some more people from the club. I came down with my parents. They're both keen windsurfers. I was mostly sailing my 85 FSW with a 5.7m sail. It was a nice change to sail on flat water with so many other sailors. The obstacle course at the harbour end was also fun. I think if I sail the...

Have not sailed Minehead for years mainly as it is best on a summer thermal which means s**t traffic on the M5 at the weekend - always used to sail from near the lifeboat station. Is parking still good? Where else do you launch from and why? I would look for W or NW falling tide for Minehead. Pleas...

I also ache from yesterday. It was a little gusty at Portland.
Just been down to the sea front at M. It's ballistic. High tide's at 2.00pm, so adrenaline pumping already. The waves look quite good, so may sail at the point.

Have fun at Weston.

James.
