Looking windy and warm this week down on the south coast.
Anyone thinking of making the effort?

Richard, not quite Dahab weather but 10 or 11 degrees with quite strong winds forecast (but also rain).
If any one else is going I will keep them company.
If not, wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Going to Newton, Porthcawl Saturday - not looking exactly 'warm', and more wet than windy
but don't want to travel further.
Portland Sunday - looking dry and windy at the moment

I'm dying to get out somewhere this weekend. Saturday Newton possible but I'm not liking the rain forecast. Sunday south coast is tempting.
Should've been here yesterday.

Thinking to check out my new local spot (Boscombe Bournemouth) both days but could be tempted further for the sake of sociability/safety!

Hi Ian
Plan to arrive at Newton around midday, sailing as soon after low tide, ~1pm, as possible (without fin damage). Afternoon now looking windier and drier
though maybe not 'warm'
.
Are you up for the South coast Sunday? Favouring Portland myself, could be some 'record breaking' speed conditions - strong W
- as long as the tide doesn't go out too far

Anyone get a GPS for Christmas? Sunday at Portlland could be a good opportunity to christen it

Okay Justin I will give Newton a try today although I suspect it may be beyond my ability with the present winds.
I too was thinking of Portland tomorrow. Will try to get there before all the shopping sales traffic gets on the road.

Justin, just seen your last posting.
Will put my GPS on charge and bring my old 1993 Tiga 268 just to give you guys a chance on your much newer kit.
