In a word - yes.Sue wrote:Is the tide (and lack of water) a problem there tomorrow? Thanks.
According to my calculations, there will be insufficient sailable depth of water within about 100m of the shore by the boatyard between 10:40 & 16:20.
Attached file shows tomorrow's tides (add 1 hout for BST), corrected to show sailable depth. ie: below 0m is unsailable.

Any suggestion for tomorrow? I'm surprised how few posting there are. I want to go somewhere and was thinking of Portland until I saw Martin's posting. I still fancy somewhere flat, do you have one for Poole?
The only trouble with Sunday is that the amount of rain that is coming with the wind. But if your going to Hamworthy Neil send me a text, as that my default.

Hmmm
Read Kelvin's entry and felt very reassured
so decided to test the conditions
applied the Timid's wind test but unfortunately deck chair blew away
(last seen overtaking transatlantic jet aircraft over Tenby)
and found myself shivering so much that I spilt most of my lager.
Test result negative but found myself quite comfortable in lounge with newspaper and cup of coffee.Perhaps conditions not as bad after all.
Graham did you notice the rugby results?
Perhaps O'Gara was right after all !!!
Have a really nice day you all (will think of you when sitting in front of my nice warm fire which seems to be drawing nicely in this wind !!)

What do you mean not ENOUGH wind ?
today ended up a "paper work" day, so didn't get wet. But car (well Val's car actually as I have not managed to reset the roof rack since we went to Exmouth. So now its just a case of working out where to head for tomorrow. Probably Hamworthy. Although 100m sounds like a short stroll compare with the Duck pond at Exmouth last month.
Nothing wrong with Rugby at the moment Huw, Bristol top of Gippee and Edinburgh third in the Scrumpy Jack, and we're ignoring the mickey mouse energy thingee, as our third team were not quick good enough for Glaws firsts.
