Managed to get out Friday and Saturday at WSM, both days on 6.5/112 combo. Friday was a southerly but not too gusty and was good before the wind eased around high tide, leaving some time for bit of light wind messing about.
Saturday was the more traditional westerly, around F4 and had a good blast before again the wind died when it clouded over around high tide time. As I’d got there early I’d got a decent session in, but not for as long as the 3 kids from Rotherham training on their Bic Aloha raceboards. They were miles out to sea when I arrived 3 hours before high tide and had waded out through the mud a lot earlier. Apparently they’d come specially to train ‘somewhere lumpy’.
