This weekend - 3/4 July
Hello .. anybody ? (again!)
This weekend is looking promising - particularly Sunday.
What plans does anyone have? Richard is looking at Roadford; I'd probably prefer Portland, although Newton (despite the lack of loos!) may be an option, too.
Looking forward to LOTS of postings on this one .

Hello all
Yes, think WSM is a no-goer unfortunately this weekend.
Tomorrow if the wind picks up I'll pop up to Axbridge. It's looking marginal at the moment though.
Am still undecided re Sunday over Newton (it looks like there may be rain in Wales, which would put me off - I'm sure Kelvin will say that doesn't matter!), or Portland, which should be sunny. Portland is looking excellant for Sunday, and tides are good. I think the forecasts may change a little still, so I'll recheck tomorrow evening and let you know my plans.
Neil - I'm not likely to go to Hamworthy as it's further than either of my other two options.
Ian - it's not far for you to get to Portland is it? Axel likes it there, too!!
Next week is looking good, and the tides are better at WSM for us.

Wind is an Illusion, Windsurfing doublely so....!
Sorry to post after the event but Brean is only a couple of miles further than Weston with almost identical conditions. I ended up there after being unaware of the T4 event - the only problem being the M4 signing was taking the T4 traffic to the Burnham junction.
Still a pleasant warm day on the water!!!

Portland 4th July
Chris and I made it down to Portland and had one of those classic days. Plenty of wind and sunshine. I have to admit I was on a 7.5 and Chris a 6.5, but there were plenty of occasions when we should have changed down, but we were enjoying ourselves too much!
The boat yard was very busy, but at 12:00 there were still spaces to be had, even if you had to park on top of sunbathers, picnic goers to do so!..... (Yes in carpark spaces!)
The tide was very favourable as well, plenty of water all day. This was our first time on the water since last year and we managed about 3 hours on the water. Well knackered by the time we got home.
Sorry to say we didn't meet any other NOMADS, but sorry if we missed you.
