I went but the jinx of the Knap struck again. Must've been there six or seven times now and still no decent session!
This time the wind was ok for me to use my 7.1, but I couldn't get the damn thing rigged. Some problem at the head of the sail, the mast going the wrong way inside a fold of sailcloth and getting stuck about 4 inches from the top. I have now solved this by preparing a 18 inch piece of cane to be used from the head of the sail to locate in the mast top, and guide it into place, seems to work reliably.
No replies to thread?
No other windsurfers spotted this weekend?
Hope to see some action at Weston maybe next weekend?

Bad luck with the sail there Al.
I must admit I didn't see your thread until I'd finished. See 'Your trips' for various reports from Saturday, seems like the not too promising forecast led to several last minute decisions when it was looking better than expected.
Fingers crossed for WSM at the weekend.

kNAP NOT VERY GOOD IN SE-S WINDSAlistairJ wrote:Hello Matt,
I saw the other thread, belatedly. Knap was actually quite gusty and I probably would've had a very mixed time on the 7.1 anyway if I had got it rigged. Water was mostly flat which would explain the lack of any BWA attendance.
See you on the water some time
